chopped up body parts in dream

Q. Asalamu Alaikom,
I hope you are in best of health Inshallah.I wanted to ask for a dream meaning that i had last night. I was at this school/ University like place and in an inside cafeteria some people were serving food, I come in to take food for my self and my friends but for some reason i leave without food and inform them i could not get it. I go in to the cafeteria again the second time for something and what i see is that all those people that were there were chopped up and all i saw was blood and bones. The people that were feeding them food turned out to be “adam Khor” (human eaters) i think that’s what they are called in urdu. I run outside and everyone is running to escape. there is this bus which is packed. i see my friend on it and so i hop in too and lend a hand to my brother as well. But the bus driver is  scared and couldn’t drive…anyways so i remove him and drive instead of him and the “adam Khor” are following us but somehow we escape and tried to hide behind the hills, so they
can leave. ( I don’t know what kind of dream this is but it freaked me out…I haven’t watched any movies, haven’t had a thought like this at all)

Answer: ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

Your dream is relationally bound. Sadly, we don’t know matters that are personal to you — be it family, friends, or for that matter, if you are proposed for, engaged, married, etc. thus accuracy to your query may be lacked. (kindly refrain from sending us this information at this point. Merely read on.)

Death in your dream symbolizes a corruption of your faith. Should you not be cautious in your actions, you could lose your honor. Lack of caution also indicates a diminishing insight to matters of religion. Religion would turn into a game of managing how people perceive you. Genuineness would lack. Should you be astute to these aforementioned considerations, inshAllah, you shall be fine. Continue Reading →

scorpions in a dream

Q. As Salaamu Alaikum

In the past few weeks, i have been having a lot of dreams about various animals prostrating to Allah(swt). Last night, I dreamed that “white scorpions, with different sizes such as skinny, fat, long, and short, they were divided in groups of two, and they were fighting with one another, and at the end they prostrated, it seemed like they were praying.”

I would really appreciate it, if you could interpret this dream. Thank You. Jazakullah Khair..

Time: Saturday August 1, 2009 at 12:06 pm

A. ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

Scorpions generally symbolize an evil, wicked, and deceptive person who hurts their close friends as well as they dislike.  A sweet tongue is used to fulfill wrongful manipulative behaviors. The person lacks complete honor on commitments made.

People may succumb to you, but that does not change who you are. You must change yourself from within for everything to come right for you. Dreams are not absolute, positive change is possible for all.

‘It is all a balancing act — that’s all’

Q. Many(except the one Allah guide them) at colleges neglect their duty toward their family, and put most of their focus on school than family. Since many including me feel shame of this, but how could a person deal with family and school? What should we put our focus more on school or our family? What is our responsiblity toward our parents?

Time: Friday September 11, 2009

May Allah (Subhanahu Wata’Ala) bless Br Yassir for answering the following question for us.

Q. Many(except the one Allah guide them) at colleges neglect their duty toward their family, and put most of their focus on school than family. Since many including me feel shame of this, but how could a person deal with family and school? What should we put our focus more on school or our family? What is our responsibility toward our parents?

Answer: since your question has a general tone without a specific situation outlined.  Hence we will respond accordingly:

1) Your Duty towards your parents is to Love them, Cherish them, Revere them, Respect them, Pray for them and obey them in everything except what Allah has prohibited or causes direct harm to yourself. Continue Reading →

menses would not be a good excuse to relax on worship

Q:

Assalaamu’Alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuh imaam!!!
What is the best way to spend our last ten days of ramadan? I heard the prophet Muhammad(PBUH) used to do more compared to the beginning or middle of ramadan, what did he do that we could practice. If the sister is in her menses can she still wake up in the middle of the night and do istaqfar and dua?-will be count same as the one praying or her prayer be answered? Can a sister do ite’kaf? What is the best ibadah for a sister to do?

Time: Friday September 11, 2009 at 9:26 pm

Answer:

  • You could do more Taraweeh (if you are an 8 rakat slacker),  perform nafl salaah, make more dua during Tahajud Salaah, pray for your parents, grandparents and those that they all love, read more Quran, increase istighfaar, talk less, do only those tasks that are worthy of doing, eliminate gossip, do not chat to those that are forbidden for you to chat with online or in person, protect your eyes, stay far from the works of shaytan (i.e. lewd TV shows and its counterparts) increase good thoughts of Allah( Subhanahu Wata’Ala) and those around you, give more charity to the needy friends and family of your parents and yourself, be good to all your teachers, practice and command good actions, soften the heart with its continual cleansing, be a genuine well wisher to everything noble, etc. Continue Reading →

Please forgive me. I am sorry. (How hard is that? its hard!)

Q.

Assalamu Alaykum,

Imaam you talk about forgiveness but sometimes asking for forgiveness is not an easy thing to do. How can a person put aside their pride and ask for forgiveness? A person is afraid to be ridiculed. And you also said that if the person does not want to forgive you, give them whatever they want. What if the person does not want to accept anything? Are we suppose to live in a state of guilt for the rest of our lives?

Answer:

?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

  • Allah (Subhanahu Wata’Ala) mentions the significance of  forgiveness, Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) outlines its methods, so did other prophets (Peace be upon them all). Forgiveness lightens the heart and gains closeness to Allah (Subhanahu Wata’Ala)
  • It is not easy to forgive for we sometimes become arrogant regarding our position. We refuse to see the other side of the matter. It becomes a control issue for many. Once we let go of this unhealthy part of our ego, it becomes easy to forgive
  • We should not expect others to forgive us. This mentality would keep us vigilant of our actions Continue Reading →

fasting and taraweeh

Q. Would taraweeh be accepted if a person does not fast? If a person says there is no need to fast but pray at night. Would the prayer be accepted?

Time: Friday September 07, 2009

A. To intentionally not fast while being in sound health is a major sin — worthy of punishment. To denounce fasting is to denounce a portion of the Quran, Hadith and sunnah. Doing so is tantamount to Kufr.

To merely not fast while not denouncing it remains a major sin. Leaving out an important pillar of Islam which falls into the category of Fard without valid excuse tremendously weakens ones faith and falls into the category of major sins.

Taraweeh would insha-Allah be accepted, however, the enjoyment of the Quran would not be felt by a person who violates the commands of the  Quran. A true Muslim could not listen to the Quran and intentionally follow a life style that contradicts it. Such hypocrisy is not sanctioned in Islam or by a rational Creator loving person.

Nail polish and death

Q. what is the opinion if a person dies and has nail polish on. The ghusal was completed, and then only is was known that she had nail polish on.

Time: June 8, 2009

A. The ghusal with nail polish would be viewed as incomplete. The nail polish should have been removed for a complete ghusal to occur. Thus, we always recommend our sisters to use henna and other like products instead of nail polish. Using nail polish can become problematic in its effective removal, thus adversely affecting your ghusal.

Allah Certainly Knows best.

(p.s. Nail polish should also be removed when praying your regular five daily salaah.)

Hurry Hurry… and the Imaam’s schedule

comment from ‘the mad mother’ (who we hope is more than sane, Ameen.)

But I could be patient for a week or two but for month thats long, and it seems like the imaaam answers questions he wants ONLY.

Response: We sincerely appreciate all the questions people send. As mentioned at the start of Ramadan in the musjid:
First preference within the month of Ramadaan would be given for questions pertaining to fasting, then Salah, then zakat, thereafter, all things related to those acts of worship that pertain or remain linked to Ramadan. Ex: forgiveness, anger, Tafseer, etc. Continue Reading →
