Q:what happens to the mahr amount if talaaq happens in a woman’s life?

A: If the amount was not paid, it would need to be paid.

p.s. Many times the mehr is given in the form of other stipulated gifts. This question should be taken with the former spouse of good willed representatives. Often one side feels its not paid, the other side feels it was more than paid.
