Q: Can you still pray if you have a tattoo of an animal?

A: Yes, one can pray while having a tattoo on the body. Upon covering the tattoo, one should continue with the prayer. The Salah inshaAllah would be accepted.

As Muslims we should never expose our sins. This is against the beauty of Islam. It angers Allah (swt) greatly when we brag or expose our sins. Seeking forgiveness for a wrong is more beloved to Allah (SWT) then bragging we have committed a sin. At the same time if Allah (SWT) has protected us from a wrong, we should be grateful to Allah (SWT). Likewise, one should cover the body as to not show the poor choices we have made, including tattoos that are on our body.

Wrong can be gradually turned into a right. 1)keep the poor tattoo choice covered. 2) Gradually have it removed as a compensation for the wrong done.

Allah (SWT) is willing to forgive. Are we willing to reform?
