A: It is best to slaughter one’s own animal, this applies to both men and woman.

However if a man cannot do so, then he can appoint someone else to sacrifice the animal for him. Likewise, if a woman feels slaughtering her own animal would be an issue as it relates to hijab — immodesty, etc, then in such a case she can appoint someone else to sacrifice it for her.
