Q: every year a group of people come and help us clean out goats, sheep and cows. In exchange of cutting, piecing and cleaning the meat they are given the animal skin. They tan it and sell it for a profit. Some brothers wanted the skin but were refused by the cleaning crew. what is the religious ruling? (email)
A: It is prohibited to give the skin as payment for services rendered as described by you. This skin can be used by the one that has sacrificed the animal, likewise, it can be sold and the money received must be given in charity.
To refuse the owners of the skin was wrong.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
