Based on reports of confirmed sighting of Dhul Hijja crescent in several places across the U.S.A., the Hilal Committee of the Islamic Society of Greater Salt Lake has established that the first day of Dhul Hijja is Friday, October 28.  Accordingly, the Islamic Society has decided that Eid al Adha will be celebrated on Sunday, November 6, Insha-Allah.

Date: Sunday, November 6
First Session of the prayer: 8.00 A.M. sharp
Second Session of the prayer: 9.30 A.M.

We are pleased that we have, by the Grace of Allah, been able to uphold our principles and stick to the beloved Sunnah by following the moonsighting, while also celebrating Eid al-Adha with the rest of the Ummah at the same time.
