using musjid property for personal ‘phone charging’

Q: Is it haram (forbidden) to charge ones phone in a mosque? Since it is something personal should members that are donating money pay for private people charging their phone? Thanks

A: It is not forbidden to charge ones phone on Musjid property. One must charge to the extent needed. This privilege cannot be abused. People that donate have the intention that anything that is used in the Musjid is to be used for good purposes. Likewise, charging ones phone while in the Musjid should also make the one charging his/her phone use their phone in a responsible manner. This applies to all of a masjids items: chairs, bathroom products, etc.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
