Q: Asalamualikum, imaam

I serve food at my local musjid. My intention is to feed the poor. I try to get it to them. I invite them over the others to get it.  However i dont know if all that get it are poor. I also sometimes see wealthy people eating it. Will i get sawaab (reward). Jazakallah Imaam

A: Walalikumsalam,

You must try and ensure that the poor would get it. Take the necessary precaution in ensuring that the poor gets it. Once the necessary precaution has taken place, this will be considered sufficient.

Reward is in the Hands of Allah (SWT). InshaAllah you will be rewarded.
