today you steal candy, tomorrow it will be fraud

Q: I went shopping to  local grocery store. I got to go to the restroom. In the back of the store were boxes of candy. I stole some 3 hereshey bars. I ate it. I know it was wrong of me.  Now I want to pay for it. If I go to the store and tole em I stole I can be arrested. Or theyd stalk me evenytime I went back.  Can I go to the checkout counter with the same candy pay for it. Then drop of the candy I bought when no ones looking?

My question is asked because when I was talking to my friends we all eat candy or stuff when we were kids when our parents were shopping. Our mothers even saw us do it. Sometimes we ate half of the candy bar and our mothers would grab it and because mommy was to cheap to pay for it she would put it back on the shelve. Imaam I say cheap to pay for it because we could afford good cars and homes and clothing! Subhanalah to make a long story short. What do we do years later? Jak (text)

A: Go to the store and tell the cashier, ‘I ate 3 of these heresey bars, can i pay for it?’ They will take the money from you.

For theft that was done a long time ago, merely go to the stores that this has occurred and repeat the above. Approximate how much you stole (ate) and pay them back.

To our audience, the above may seem trivial. No wonder there are those that take part in insurance fraud, ‘fake’ bankruptcies, fake marriages, etc. It all starts off with rotten habits that have been accepted by our parents, families, or society in general.  Get away with candy today, tomorrow you will try to get away with millions! The difference, the candy thieve may do time, the million dollar thieve gets an attorney that can make him go for more. Get it right from young, and you would live a life of dignity when older, ameen.

I appreciate you wanting to do good on poor quality choices.

May Allah help us in becoming honest like you, ameen.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
