Wudu is the sink in the Men’s Wash Room– find a more creative way

Q: I work in an governmental office environment. The only water available for Wudu is the sink in the Men’s Wash Room.   The sink is not in a private area.  Also, the height of the sink is too high for me be able to put my feet into the water.  Under these conditions is it permissible  to do Tayammum with a stone before my daily prayers?

A: Due to the availability of water, you would not be able to make tayamum. One does not need to place the feet in the sink. A person can also use a utensil that has water in it, and this water can be used to wash ones feet.

Some government areas have an area for the physically challenged, these areas have lower sinks. This will possibly ensure privacy.

May Allah (SWT make your matters easy for you, Ameen.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
