‘muslim who converted from christianity’

Q:I am a muslim who converted from christianity, my mother and father are christians. i want to marry my muslim girlfriend but my parents have refused me to get married to a muslim girl. they also do not support me in my decision to become a muslim and have warned me that if i do not turn back to christianity they will have nothing to do with me ever again and i will not have their blessing. the girls parents accepted me because i am a muslim and they also like my character. They want to meet my parents but my parents have refused to meet the girls parents unless i turn back to christianity. My mother says that she will only support me if i turn back to christianity and we marry but remain in different religions. i have tried to convince them but in vain. what should i do? I have stood my ground that i will not convert back to christianity and She is the woman i want to spend the rest of my life with because i love her with all my heart. we were planning to get married two months from now.what should i do? my parents have rejected me.

Answer Br Yassir Butt:
If you have accepted islam because you want to marry a muslim that would be acceptable, even though the reasons are shallow.  No disrespect, but feelings change from time to time.  Regardless of your parents rejection, you are to treat them with kindness and not let them deter you from your decision to enter this faith.  Let your decision to enter islam be more deep rooted than marriage and girlfriend.
My message to your parents is to learn from mr. Arnoud van dorn the dutch Member of parliament who recently converted to islam and performed pilgrimage in mecca after long years of islamic hate and anti islam propoganda? Ask them why he converted? Read below
