‘signs that Allah has accepted the repentance’

Q: after repenting to Allah what are the signs that Allah has accepted the repentance?

Time: Thursday July 16, 2009 at 1:38 am

Answers: Some of the signs would be:

*Peace and contentment relating to heart and mind

*Greater shared love between people of faith

*It becomes easy to do more good

*Detest wrong wherever it may be, and we share its good values

*You would not suffer regret for not being with evil company

*Time wasting strategies would not be employed. More Baraka in your time to do greater good

*Can live in peace and isolation with greater remembrance of Allah (SWT)

*You become happy when you see good people. Not embarrassed of them. You stand in support of them. You do not want to see them hurt

*Patience is shared on all challengers that come your way

*Anger is only on matters that violate religion. Anger is not for egotistical reasons

Apologies from the Admins

Assalaamu’Alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

There was a glitch in our email forwarding system that recently came to our attention. As a result of that error, questions that were submitted from June till the previous week had only sporadically been forwarded to the Imam. So, if you’ve been waiting for months for your questions to be answered, please rest assured that you were not being ignored, all questions since the occurrence of this glitch have been properly forwarded to the Imam, and your questions will be answered shortly, inshaAllah.

We take the opportunity of the blessings of Ramadan to humbly and sincerely ask your forgiveness for this major inconvenience.

Wasalaam

fast breakers

Due to the many question, merely read the following: Adapted from Taleemul Haqq (basic book for basic everyday rules) (with minor edition) If clarity is lacked in any of the following, do ask! After all, it is your fast!

Things that break one’s fast but make only Qaza wajib

1. Anything put by force into the mouth of fasting persons.
2. Water goes down the throat whilst gargling, conscious of one’s fasting.
3. To vomit mouthful intentionally or to return vomit down the throat.
4. Swallowing intentionally a pebble, piece of paper or any item that is not used as food or medicine.
5. Swallowing something edible, equal to or bigger than a grain of gram which was stuck between the teeth. However if it is first taken out of the mouth and swallowed, it will break the fast whether it is smaller or bigger than the size of a gram.
6. Inhaling snuff into the nostrils.
7. Swallowing blood (more so if the colour of the blood is more than saliva with which it is mixed.)
8. To eat and drink forgetting that one is fasting and thereafter thinking that the fast is broken, and thus to eat and drink again would constitute a make. (To eat forgetfully in itself does not break the fast)
9. To eat and drink after Subha Sadiq or to break the fast before sunset due to a cloudy sky or a faulty watch etc. and then realizing one’s fault.

N.B. Any other fast other than a Ramadhaan one whether broken intentionally or with a good and valid reason, makes ONLY Qaza WAJIB. There is NO Kaffarah for breaking any fast besides that of Ramadhaan.

May Allah (SWT) bless the author(s)

ramadaan answers:

Due to the many question, merely read the following: Adapted from Taleemul Haqq (basic book for basic everyday rules)

Things that break one’s fast

Things that break one’s fast are of two kinds. Some make only Qaza necessary whilst others make both QAZA and KAFFAARAH compulsory.
1. Qaza:- To keep one fast in place of the one that breaks, or is broken intentionally.
2. Kaffarah:- To keep one fast after another for sixty days CONTINUOUSLY.

However, if a person is unable to keep these 60 Rozas for some valid reason e.g. continuous sickness, then one has the option of choosing from one of the following four:

1. Feed sixty poor people to their fill for two meals, or
2. Feed one poor person two meals a day for sixty days; or
3. Give 60 poor persons 3 1/2 Ibs. (approx. l.6kg of wheat or its value in cash or food grains)
4. Give to one poor person not less than 3 1/2 Ibs. of wheat, rice or food grains, etc. to its value or cash for sixty days.

May Allah Bless the author(s)

??? ???? ? ??? ?????

By Br. Yassir Butt

(islaminaction.wordpress.com is only hosting this article without any modification to its original)

Before you work hard in Ramadhan

Sometimes we have an inert tendency to think that we are superior to our fellow Muslims and Humans.

Q: Why does it matter?

A: The Rasool SAW said in Sahih Muslim “Any one who has a speck of Takabur (Arrogance) in his heart he will not enter Jannah (Paradise)”

Q: What constitutes Arrogance?

A: An individual thinking that I am better than my brother because I follow a certain fiqh, a certain dawah methodology, a certain scholars from a certain country etc.  A certain outlook in deen or in dunya as far as status that may lead to what the Rasool saw described as

??? ???? ? ??? ?????

“disdain for truth and contempt for People” Continue Reading →

salaah and the pauses in between

Q. What is the length that a person must sit between postures in salah? In our musjid the sheikh rushes and lots of arguments occurred…. Some say that the pause must remain a minute …. Is there a basis for this?

A. One must not shift from one posture to the next like a pecking chicken. (Derived from Hadith)

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) used to pause so much so that persons used to think that he (Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) was out of salaah. (Hadith) This rule does not apply to fard salaah and cannot be found as the continual appropriate practice for fard salaah.

Fard salah must have flow without excessive unnecessary pauses. At the same time, fard salaah must not be rushed.

To await unnecessarily would necessitate a sajdah sawh. More so if the wait was in excess of the time space of three subhanalallahs

Key: eliminate fusion/blending between postures.

Shaytan likes to see fights after salaah and evil thoughts during salaah. Do not let shaytan gain victory over your salaah.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
