a shot and fasting

Q. Does taking a shot for travel invalidate a fast?

A. No.

Taking a shot for any reason upon the body would not invalidate the fast.

The consequences of taking a shot in the mouth may cause bleeding. The bleeding may go down the throat, thus necessitating a makeup.

salaah with jamat and woman

Q. Why does Imaam Abu Hanefa not allow woman to perform salaat with jamat as Imaam?

A. Imaam Abu Haneefa does allow for woman to perform their salaah in jamat (group form). He does allow woman to lead in salaah as well. However, woman as Imaam is with karahat (viewed as a reprehensible action). It is best to be avoided when possible.

just don’t cut yourself

Q. We were told that woman cannot shave with a ‘blade’? Then how can one shave? What should we use? hairyinidaho

A. A blade, shaver or sharp metal object should preferably not used on the body. One should utilize other methods to remover their unwanted hairs.

Although it is not haraam to use a blade, it is more preferred to use other methods available.

(we cannot tell you what to use. Your cosmetologist or dermatologist can be be contacted for such personal details)

come and see, if you dont like, dont come

Asslm

Q.1) Can we who not students of Moulana answer the questions? (i’m aware it says for our students only)

A. No. You can always send in your comments in our comment box. Officially you would not be given the privilege to answer on our site. This privilege is for students and a local scholar who is qualified to do so

Q.2) When does the new semester for classes start, and where do we enrol?

A. In two years by the given Imaam, if he is alive and remains at the present geographic location, insha-Allah. (cannot see why not!)

Q.3) What are the hijab rules in class (i.e do we have separate classes (boys girls separated), hijab between Moulana and female students)

A. The class is positioned in a manner wherein men and woman cannot toy around. The Imaam does not allow female students to be alone with him, nor does he allow them to sit in his close proximity alone. He does keep an eye towards people not paying attention in class, and does show his agitation towards neglectful persons — male and female. Persons not trusting of the Imaam, or the musjid he conducts his affairs in, should seek their knowledge elsewhere.

There is no interaction between the genders within our class environment. (What happens behind the imams back, via personal emails, text messages as a result of alliances built prior to the class is beyond his control.)

Allah Certainly Knows Best.

… ? ???? ????????… ???? ????????… ?????????? ???????? ???? ????????? …?????????? ???????? ? ???? ?????????

Q. what is correct, the saying of rabana walakal hamd, and is it loud or soft for followers or is their difference of opinion?

A.

Four ways of saying it: (You may pick any one.)

Allahumma rabana walakalhamb, Allahumma raba lakalhamb, lakal hamd, walakalhamd. Derived from bukari.

Imaam Muslim states that following can also be read: (Arabic was misaligned thus omitted over here)

Under general circumstances, no difference exist that the above duas should be recieted softly. (Ahnaf are consistent, in that they say Ameen softly after the surah fathiha, and ?????????? ???????? ? ???? ????????? softly as well. Other mazahahib allow the above duas to be read softly and the Ameen to be recieted with a moderately audiable tone.)

Allah certainly knows best.

p.s. Magnify the above dua for clarity.
