How to dispose organ(s)

Q. I am to have a surgery soon. In about 9 days.  For the part of my body that is removed, what do I do with its remains? Also, if the hospital refuses to give me the remains due to infection associated to it. What must be done?

A. They can place it in a chemical for you. Kindly ask your doctor about its procedure. Once they hand any portion of your body back to you, merely dispose of it by burying it. (The solution they would generally place it in is formaldehyde. We stand to be corrected on this chemical name.)

salaah and the graveyard

Q. If a Hadith states that we cannot make our home into graveyard; does that not contradict prophets being buried where they pass away? (Friday Q and A session)

A. No, the Hadith you are possibly referring to pertains to nafl salah being performed in the home. Not doing so aids in the home resembling the graveyard. This Hadith also helps as a reminder to men performing their salaah in the musjids and their nafil salaah in their homes. This hadith also helps as a reminder for woman to pray at home and noting that salaah functions as a great example for children, as well as other family members.

Men should always try and pray their salaah at their local Masjid and perform their sunnah salaah  and nafl salaah in their homes if they feel that they would not forget to do so. Should they not be able to perform it at home, then musjid would best function for this purpose.

The Hadith data you have attained is a little flawed with its true meaning and implication. May Allah (SWT) bless you for the question and asking us for clarification.

please dont bust your teeth (yet)

Q. a friend asked me why do musilms not always shave. We born without facial hair. And its natural to not have hair on the face…..

A. We are all born without teeth, so is this friend going to be break all his/her teeth to have a more ‘natural’ look?

Muslim men and woman do shave. However, they shave in places that your friend may refrain from shaving, thus the naive question. Muslims shave in areas that keeps their bodies clean, and helps in maintaining a superior level of hygiene.

Certain things are part of the fitrah (nature) of humans and the prophetic counsel (hadith). As faithfully as possible, we are called upon to uphold the message of sunnah.

Select your friends wisely. Chose friends that defend your faith. Avoid people that demean your belief in Allah (Subhanahu Wata’Ala) and the sanctioned Sunnah of the prophetic counsel.

cover or bare

Q. would I be sinful for not wearing niqab? Please, simple yes or  no would be fine.

Time Sent: June 10, 2009

A.

  • Woman (and men) would be sinful for not cladding themselves in accordance to religious demands.
  • Niqab (facial covering) is a must if there is possibility of fitnah.
  • If possibility of fitna does not exit due to age, etc. and it is safe to adorn, then in such a situation the niqab should be maintained. (Social embarrassment would not function as a plausible excuse.)

how is your eating, walking and sleeping?

    ?????? ????? ????? ???? ???????

Q.Some basic questions, but I was wondering how did the Prophet (SAW) eat, sleep, and walk?
    Jazakullah Khair.

    A. ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

Eat with the right hand, never complained about his food. Eat what was closest to him. Never stretched his hands to eat only certain foods. E.g. just the meat, etc. Always started with Bismillah, praised Allah whilst eating, made dua after eating for the blessings.….

Slept with right hand under the face, did not face his back towards the qibla, covered his blessed body, read the duas prior to sleeping and duas of awakening….

Walk was not like that of a confused person, it was a firm decisive walk — as if in an incline motion. He would be involved in the remembrance of Allah (Subhanahu Wata’Ala) at all times. Eyes were not focused on the glitter of the world, nor did he (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) stare at people.

Insha-Allah, when time permits, we shall bring greater clarity to such matters. If someone can read up more on it in shamaili tirmizi and send us the data for audience benefit, it would be beneficial to all. Better yet, buy yourself a copy of it, it talks about various aspects of the life of Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam). We have copies at our Islamic Society, it is approximately $20.

    clothing swaping yes/no?

    Q. I have roomies. They are Christian and Hindus. Can we wear each another’s clothing? (in office question)

    A. If clothing fulfills Islamic requirements and are in the state of Islamic purity, then it can be worn.

Doing this would not function as a good habit. Muslim must wear Islamic clothing and do their sharing amongst themselves for they are part of each another. However, this does not negate its permissibility. It is always best to have people adopt your good Muslim clothing habits, then you adopting the habits of others.

Al Jazeera, NASA, Sheikh(s) ibn Othaymeen, Abdallah al Mani

The following was a question and answer session executed by Br Yasir Butt. Copy of it has been hereby enclosed as forwarded to us. (Portion of it may be slightly modified for flow by islaminaction.wordpress.com)

Q:Did you start Shabaan right? Some people started shaban on the 23rd of July (Thursday) while some on the 24th of July 2008 (Friday)?

A: Since the Rasool SAW says: “safeguard the sighting of shabaan so can start Ramadhan right” hadith is authentic in mustadrak hakim volume 1 page 586 published by dar kutub ilmiyya in 1990 edition.

The 24th of July 2009 is the 1st of Shabaan no doubt, Insha Allah. Consider what the scholars say so we do not fall prey to our emotions.

It is IMPOSSIBLE TO DESIGNATE THURSDAY the 23rd of July 2009 as the first day of Shaban according to Sheikh ibn Othaymeen (Allah have mercy on him) because the day before it the 22nd of July 2009 was a total solar eclipse (when the moon is between the earth and the Sun) Continue Reading →

some claim, parents want it all

    Q. please understand my situation. I am asking you to be sympathetic and fair. So please go easy on me. If I was ‘evil’ I would not ask you, and I would not be living with my parents. That said, I am not against my parents. I love them lots. I am in second year of university. My grades are excellent. My goal is dentistry. I have never missed a prayer in 3 years. Never dated or did any of the major sins in Islam. Allah has protected me. For this I read two rataak salaah of shukar (thankfulness) everyday.

My problem is this: I have a job. I make $1750 per month. I have three sisters and a younger brother. My one sister works, both my parents make money. (In excess of $55 000. My sister to has the same prob as me.)

Do I have to give all my money to my father and mother? It has come to a point that the money i make is demanded away from me by them.

I do not have any money left at all. My car is beat up. Sometimes my friends have to take me to college when my car breaks down. It’s embarrassing.  I may have to drop out of school just so I can make more money for my parents. My parents are nice to me. They feed me for which I give  shukar. Nothing is ever enough them. And the more I give, the more they want for my uncles and their children (and grandchildren.) Imaam, I have three sisters and a brother. Why must my family live a cheap life work sooo much but others like my aunts live a life of comfort.  Then I am told I must marry … …….. Imaam …..  (our site is sorry to cut out your extra details. Lets answer only the above. You can resend the second and third portion later, should you wish.)

What are my obligations to them. My rights to them? Their rights?

    Answer:

    1. May all bless you for all you are doing for your parents. Your reward would be tremendous.
    2. Parents in Islam have certain rights. Amongst them: they would be given honor and security. A parent need not ask a child for anything. It is the child’s obligation to share Allah-given resources that remain a surplus of their given needs.
    3. Once it has been established that a parent(s) has secured themselves with an employment and the money they need for themselves as survival is sufficient from that employment, then for parents to demand in excess of that which the need would be wrong. A child can request his/her right of acquiring the right to live a basic life comprising peace, keep money to fulfill necessities and the means of attaining basic privacy and security. However, at no time should a child be rude to a parent.

Qaroon, Fir’oun, Haamaan and Ubay Ibn Khalf

    Q.
    ?????? ????? ????? ???? ???????

I was wondering, who is Qaroon, Haaman and Ubay Ibn Khalf that is being referred to in this hadith?
    Jazakullah Khair.

Hadhrat Abdur Rahmaan Bin Amr Bin Al-A’s (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Salaat on the Day of Qiyaamah, will be a light, a proof and a means of salvation for the one who guarded it. He who neglects Salaat, will have no light, no proof and no salvation (from the direction of Salaat) He (the one who neglects Salaat) will be in the company of Qaroon, Fir’oun, Haamaan and Ubay Ibn Khalf on the Day of Qiyaamah.” (Ahmad, Darami, Baihaqi, Shu’bul Imaan)

    ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

Qaroon, Haaman and Ubay Ibn Khalf were all corrupt leaders of the past. They were given bounties that they refused to attribute towards Allah (SWT) in its totality. Men that hurt their given prophets. People that ruined themselves by opposing Haqq. These are example of people we should never emulate.

To neglect our duties of Salaat, etc. is to emulate these corrupt men. May we be saved from that which ALlah (SWT) hates.

Perform your salaat with sincerity and oppose these evil men.
