Q.Some basic questions, but I was wondering how did the Prophet (SAW) eat, sleep, and walk?

Eat with the right hand, never complained about his food. Eat what was closest to him. Never stretched his hands to eat only certain foods. E.g. just the meat, etc. Always started with Bismillah, praised Allah whilst eating, made dua after eating for the blessings.….

Slept with right hand under the face, did not face his back towards the qibla, covered his blessed body, read the duas prior to sleeping and duas of awakening….

Walk was not like that of a confused person, it was a firm decisive walk — as if in an incline motion. He would be involved in the remembrance of Allah (Subhanahu Wata’Ala) at all times. Eyes were not focused on the glitter of the world, nor did he (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) stare at people.

Insha-Allah, when time permits, we shall bring greater clarity to such matters. If someone can read up more on it in shamaili tirmizi and send us the data for audience benefit, it would be beneficial to all. Better yet, buy yourself a copy of it, it talks about various aspects of the life of Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam). We have copies at our Islamic Society, it is approximately $20.
