Q. what is correct, the saying of rabana walakal hamd, and is it loud or soft for followers or is their difference of opinion?
A.
Four ways of saying it: (You may pick any one.)
?????????? ???????? ? ???? ?????????
?????????? ???????? ???? ?????????
???? ????????
? ???? ????????
Allahumma rabana walakalhamb, Allahumma raba lakalhamb, lakal hamd, walakalhamd. Derived from bukari.
Imaam Muslim states that following can also be read:
?????????? ???????? ???? ????????? ?????? ????????????? ???????? ????????? ???????? ??? ??????????? ???????? ??? ?????? ???? ?????? ??????
Under general circumstances, no difference exist that the above duas should be recieted softly. (Ahnaf are consistent, in that they say Ameen softly after the surah fathiha, and ?????????? ???????? ? ???? ????????? softly as well. Other mazahahib allow the above duas to be read softly and the Ameen to be recieted with a moderately audiable tone.)
Allah certainly knows best.
p.s. Magnify the above dua for clarity.
