Q.
?????? ????? ????? ???? ???????
What are the etiquettes involved in taking out mistakes during Taraweeh?
I ask for the benefit of those who attended Taraweeh tonight and are a bit confused of what happened.
A. ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????
As part of the etiquette of correcting people, one must stand near the Imaam’s area, or in a place that allows for clarity when a correction is being made. The idea is to eliminate confusion, not create more of it.
One needs to take out the error when the Imaam needs assistance. If the imaam does not need assistance, then one can remind him later, so the Imaam can correct the error himself later. (This has been the tradition in our Islamic Society.)
If the mistake changes the meaning greatly, then the person in the back can take out immediately, so as to not blaspheme the Quran.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
p.s. As for what happened. Some brother just wanted to shout, as happens in major masasjids. The honorable sheik was INCORRECT in the error he attempted to take out. The both Uluma that are responsible for taking out mistakes also noted this fact that the ‘shouter’ was wrong. Our recordings prove likewise. Thus our recommendation to the guests Imaams: they should not take heed incorrect persons yelling’s. That is all that happened… (now does this added information change anything in your life?!)
