Q: Q: I did not do Qurbani for my entire life and I always had the money. I realeize i was wrong and want to make good on my past. What do I do? Jak

A: For every Qurbani you missed in the past, it is necessary (wājib) to make it up. Since Qurbani is a wājib act for those who meet the conditions, any missed obligation must be fulfilled. However, unlike the regular Qurbani where one may consume a portion of the meat, the compensatory Qurbani (for missed years) must have all of its meat given entirely in charity (ṣadaqah) to the poor. You are not permitted to eat from it.
