Q: I will be in colarado from 8th of zil hajj to the 19th of zill hajj.  i live in utah. so do i do qurbani im getting mixed opinions  jazakallah

A: Qurbani is not wajib on a traveler. (reference: Sharah al Bidayah vol 4 – p.443)

A traveler is that individual that makes an intention to stay in a place that is 48 miles away for 15 days or more. Additionally, to qualify, the 48 miles is calculated from the boundary of his/her city.

However, if you did do the sacrifice, you will be immensely rewarded.
