Q: Assalamo alaikom!
I am a divorced woman.  Alhamdullilah I am married but the circumstances I got married is quite different. I am married to an arab while I am an asian. My father doesnt want to marry me my husband as he doesnt want me to relocate. When his siblings and a sharia’h judge convened, they said that his reason is baseless and for that my uncle (his older brother) took his place as my wali. Is really my father’s reason/s baseless? Other things he said is that arabs are normally sadistic. Racist but i think he just throws things against him to make reasons as why i shouldnt marry him.

A: Walaikumsalam,

The judge passed the ruling. He passed the judgement with facts that were before him. Now that you are married, do not let shaytan come between you and your husband.

Be happy and do not let things distract you or take away your happiness.

You still need to be polite and respectful to your parents. This is a command from Allah (SWT) as mentioned in the Quran.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
