Q: salam wa alakium

my question is that my mother has found a girl for me to marry but she does not live in this country, and i have never met her before. my mother gave me her number but i am not sure if  am allowed to talk to her through whatsapp. just wanted to know if i can communicate with her. just to get to know her etc.. how can i do this the right way in the ways of islam.

You can make a ‘group chat’ and communicate in a manner that has representatives from your side as well as her side within the group to prevent you both from communicating in ways that may lead to negative outcomes.

Both of you must be true in abiding by the rules that you both will only talk in the presence of guardians. This is to ensure the reputation of both of you.
