Q: Walmart and Best buy matches price. Is it haram to buy an item two days earlier then when the item is to be sold for cheaper as advertised on the paper.  Example Monday sale price of tomatoes is 35 cents. I go Saturday and I ask to get it for 35 cents but real price is 65 cents on saturday. I showed the paper and got it cheaper with managers approval is this halal?
A: Managers are hired to represent the company. They generally have leeway to make exceptions as it relates to representing the company. So long as there was no nepotism or any-type of secret dealing, it would be allowed.
