Muslim cannot marry hindu — ever

Q: I WANT MARRIAGE WITH A HINDU GIRL. FIRST THING TO CLEAR THAT THE GIRL IS BORN IN HINDU FAMILY BUT SHE IS NOT IDOL-WORSHIPED. SHE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD.
MY QUESTION IS—- CAN I MARRY WITH HER??
IF YES THEN IT IS MUST BE REQUIRED PERMISSION FROM HER PARENTS FOR NIKAH . PLEASE GIVE ME ANS BECAUSE I HAVE NO ENOUGH TIME.

Answer:

  • A muslim  cannot marry a hindu male or female. The Quran is very clear about not marrying mushriks (idol worshipers.)
  • If she indeed is not believing in idols, then she may convert to Islam. Not believing in idols is not sufficient for an Islamic marriage.
  • She can discuss the matter with her parents out of politeness. Their rejection will not impact the marital outcome
