Q: Assalamualaikum,
I knew and certain that plucking eyebrow or eyebrow threading is haram. What if we provide this service to non-muslims? Does the income from “eyebrow threading” is haram too?
Other than eyebrow threading, what about upper lip & chin hair’s threading, is it haram too?
*Note:salon service
Thanks.

Amswer:
- One should avoid providing services that promote sentiments that are in conflict with our belief system. You should have non-Muslim employees provide this service to non-Muslims patrons since their religion generally allows for such actions. You should limit your profits from income that is derived from such avenues.
- Threading in itself is not haram. It becomes forbidden when the entrie eyebrow is removed or removal of hair is beyond the required amount.
- It is makroh for a woman to have unwanted hair on her face. She should try to remove unwanted hair. This removal would also include upper lip and chin.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
