Q: Whenever my father opens a business, he places the quran under the construction for blessing. He will hire people to dig the foundation and place the Quran in the hole and make a prayer over it.  Is this even allowed? I tried finding proof online but cannot.  He said that is the reason Allah gave us so much wealth. Appreciate your input. (text)

A: Such an action is impermissible.

The Quran is a Sacred book from Allah. The Quran is not a book of superstition. Following the Quran would give barakah in the lives of all that follow it. To place it in the ground as displayed by your father is a sin and disrespectful to Allah and His book. He is showing very little regard for the Quran.

Assist him to not so int he future.
