Q: I live in xxxxx. I own a restaurant. At lunch time muslims come and eat at my restaurant. They say they are sick or travelers. Can I deny them service? August19th 2010. Thanks

A: You should provide them service with the following request: I appreciate your business. However, being part of the sacred month, it would be most advisable for you to allow me to pack your food in the best of manner, this way you can eat it at your hotel or in the privacy of your home. Assert to them that this advice is due to believers having respect for the month of Ramadaan.

Refrain from being hostile or debating them.

May Allah bless your restaurant and make it such that you feed people the best halaal food ever, Ameen.

Allah Certainly Knows best.
