Q/Request:

?????? ????? ????? ???? ???????
Hope this email finds all of you in the best of health and Imaan insha’Allah.
2 things:
I was wondering if on a consistent basis, once a week/month, etc. I would be able to write an article on a given issue and have it posted online on IIA? I’d like to build up my writing skills and this was one way I thought I could do it.
Attached is one example…it’s a long one and the Imam suggested that I divide it up into different parts but take a look at if any of you (admin) can and let me know what you think…if you like it then I can work on dividing it up into smaller parts.
Second thing,
I’m managing a wordpress account and I’m curious how the Imam Hajjar al-Haytami post is always on top…I’m trying to do that with something else (have it always on top) but haven’t been able to.
Any pointers any of you can give me on the above 2 things would be greatly appreciated.
Jazakullah Khayr for all your hard work, may Allah accept. Ameen.

Comment/response from Admin:

Wa’AlaykumSalaam wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuh,

JazakAllah khair for your email, and apologies for the delay in responding.

We have discussed it with the Imaam and amongst ourselves, and have no problem with you posting your articles on IIA. We will be happy to post them with your name (of course) and with a link back to your WP account. In fact, we’d recommend you posting the article on your own site as well; since you wrote it, you may as well keep it where you can always access it easily. Your article is very well-written and well-researched, mashaAllah. I’d recommend dividing it into 3 parts, and we’ll post each part on Friday (or the day of your choosing). The first part, I am thinking, would best be concluded after the sentence “This is Point 3.” I’d add a segue sentence such as, “Stay tuned; next we’ll be discussing the infamous and never-ending ‘School Project’ which you don’t want to miss!” (You can, naturally provide us with a teaser sentence of your own choosing, and also tell us where you’d prefer the parts to be divided.)

Regarding the post that stays on top; you know that screen where you’re editing your post, and can select the date of publication? In the “Publish” box on that screen, there is a Visibility option that you can edit. Click “Edit” next to Visibility, and then check-mark the “Stick this post to the front page” option. This will cause your post to always be in front (obviously!).

We hope that helps, inshaAllah, and let us know if there is anything else that we can be of assistance with. If we know how to do it, we’ll be happy to help.

Wassalam,
Admin
