man wanting a golden smile, zakat

Q: 1)Why is gold filling in the mouth allowed but men cannot wear gold.

2)Is this not a contradiction? Must it be removed for death?

3) How would i give zakat on it ?

A1: Gold filling is only allowed when a substitution does not exist, or a pious good Muslim dentist recommends that such a filling is the best option for a given situation. A man should not adorn gold in any manner without valid sharia based reasoning. Doing so would be a sin. Wearing gold for a man would deprive him from the bounties of Allah in jannah (paradise) as derived from Ahadith.

A2: If the removal of gold (or any other haram item) can be done with ease, then it should be removed. If it cannot be removed, then in such an instance the person would be buried with it. He would NOT be punished if the item used was done with a valid medical reasoning as prescribed by a good pious doctor. (Be cautions of what you consume! (hadith)

A3: You would not pay zakat on it.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
