A:

?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

Yes, one can chose to be a vegetarian.

Note:

  • The intent of being healthy allows for it.
  • The intent should not be to exclude what the sharia permits.
  • One can exclude foods for health reasons as advised by health specialists due to health reasoning.
  • If a person cannot eat meat due to them not being able to do so, then it would be allowed to be a vegetarian/vegan.  Likewise, if a person does not have a preference for certain foods, they can abstain without Islamic sanctions (as per hadith of certain foods Rasulullah (SAW) did not prefer to eat.)

Allah Certainly Knows Best.
