Time: Sunday November 29, 2009 at 1:06 am

Answers:

  • Viewing pornography reduces respect for men/woman/children. Makes you take human life for granted. Reduces your sensitivity towards healthy relationships. Reduces appreciation and respect of your body and the body of others. Pornography helps you lose your modesty. Pornographic viewers have to take part in filth to attain necessary gratification.
  • Pornography is a ‘movie’ production, its allurement is due to a false depiction of reality. The men and woman have cosmetics to enhance their image, at times causing naïve persons to want their wives/husbands to look and act the very same way. (Viewers don’t always say it, their behavior begins to demand it!) When viewers watch such filth and notice that they as well as their partners fail to perform ‘as seen on TV,’ it is not unusual for attraction, satisfaction,  etc. to gradually diminish.
  • The addiction of pornography creates unwanted affairs, prostitution visits, as well as other sick/rotten  behaviors.
  • Ejaculation through masturbation weakens the body. Takes away natural sensitivity and respect of the body. Creates filthy thoughts to permeate in the mind to fulfill these urges. Filthy thoughts do away with the remembrance of our Creator. Reduces marital commitment and satisfaction. Makes us view people as objects to be used and abused. Woman and men that are addicted or influenced by graphic pictures display themselves knowingly/unknowingly as objects and create the subliminal messages in the mind of viewers that a human can be grabbed for mere personal satisfaction.
  • Pornography creates in the mind unwanted avenues of release: it can result in affairs. For some it has stemmed from unhealthy viewing and addiction to places in the likes of MySplace, Facebook, etc. for quick pleasures. The theme of these sites are as follows: the more skin you show, the better off you are.
  • Pornography has many levels, one of them is the addiction of viewing the bodies of others for personal pleasure! All starts with the invincible stare, then the giggly chat or manly charm, then the  hook up! (You know the rest regarding the world we live in.)
  • Caution your eyes and you have cautioned your heart and mind.  Toy with the eye, and you know where your mind wanders of too. (ask yourself, what do you think of in salah? Whilst reading quran? Amazing how it all started with the eyes!)
  • Q2.What does Islam and the Quran and sunnah say about this?   Time: Sunday November 29, 2009 at 1:06 am

    A. Pornography and masturbation are forbidden under general circumstances. The sin is severe. To stop this habit, visualize that Allah (SWT) is looking at you.

‘Those who guard their sexual organs except with their spouses….’  (Al-Mu’mun: 5-7)

Based on this ayah it is forbidden. Sexual relations are to be fulfilled in a healthy manner with a spouse.

    Q3
. If you can please go into details on this topic it would be great? Time: Sunday November 29, 2009 at 1:06 am
A: Read up on it in in the scholarly journals, under the topic of: The ill affects of addiction, pornography, etc.

Q4. Also why is it bad and how can you stay away from things like this? Time: Sunday November 29, 2009 at 1:06 am
A: See above: Keep fast to cut down unwanted desires, create a personal penalty, read quran and have the fear of Allah (SWT) in you.

    Quote from an online source:
The largest problem with pornography is its ability to control the user. “It is difficult for non-addicts to comprehend the totally driven nature of a sex addict,” Dr. Cline added, “their addiction virtually rules their lives.” An example comes from Gary Bishop, convicted homosexual pedophile who murdered five young boys in Salt Lake City, Utah, in order to conceal his sexual abuse of them. He wrote in a letter after his conviction: “Pornography was a determining factor in my downfall… For me, seeing pornography was lighting a fuse on a stick of dynamite… My conscience was desensitized and my sexual appetite entirely controlled my actions.” Further research also indicates that violence can come from those who are vulnerable to pornography. Kelvin who had heavy use of pornography in an interview conducted by journalist Robert Jensen admitted “one that sticks out in my mind right now was really violent. There was pistol whipping and a man chained this woman … like a dog in a doghouse… and then have sex with her from behind.” In his Kingston study, Marshal found that pornography could play a number of roles in sexual offenses. In some cases, men told him that they looked at pornography with the intention only of masturbating, but then became aroused and decided to go out and assault a woman or a child.

(A researcher at the U said: the internet is driven by pornography. Fact exist to prove that had it not been for the  pornography trade, the internet would not have been  lucrative. If anyone has this data, kindly share it to us. Simple example: you go to a site giving Islamic fatwas, pop up adds attempt to take you to places that show you more then fatwas!

    Allah Certainly Knows Best.
