Answer: ?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

Ayah: Do not take to futilities Ayah: Be with the company of the truthful Ayah: We must not emulate that which has no religious bases. Hadith: whoever emulates a people would be part of them on the day of judgment Hadith: All innovations stem from  misguidance(paraphrased)

  • We cannot allow our youth to follow that which emulates a pagan form of worship. Halloween is not linked to any of the monotheistic religions. Regardless of how hard we try to link it to religion, it does not have any true religious bases at all.
  • Muslims should dress as good examples. Dressing our children like witches, nuns, gangsters, etc. is against the Islamic dress code and formulates a terrible impression. Allowing our children to say: ‘ i am devil’ is just wrong. It assists the child in making a terrible distinction between right and wrong. Should the dress code be like that of your local sheik, then that dress code too would function as a mockery of that given good deed. For good dressing is not limited to a given day of the year. Its foundation should not start with Halloween!
  • The parade should be avoided. We must teach our children to be part of that which we believe in. They should avoid everything that is senseless and deprived of meaning. Tricking people is not the work of Muslims – be it in jest or otherwise. Wasting pumpkins when people are starving is an insult to humanity. To waste in an economy in which people are trying to rescue a basic income is to show the height of ingratitude. Seeking free candy is not only a poor example to our youth; but acquiring poisoned/harmful candy, or see the innocent hurt due to their candid begging promotes irresponsibility and insensitivity which Islam also prohibits.Haunted houses and spider trappings are satanic ideas that attempt to make light of the despicable aspects of hell. For Muslims to sanction such doings remain a tragedy.

Secular schools in America understand the aspect of religious diversity and thought. They would certainly oblige in excusing your child from actions related to Halloween due to our valid religious reasoning.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
