Q. How does one perform Qasr Salaah?   I will be on vacation. On vacation, is Qasr necessary, or only on travel while being a musafir?
A. Qasr Salaah is performed in the same manner as one performs any other Salaah. Performance of Qasr salah would require all your 4 Rak’aats Fardh salah to be shortened to 2 rak’aats. Your fajr two rak’aats would remain two rak’aats , and your Maghrib three would remain three rak’aats.  As for the sunnats salah which come before/after certain of the fard salah, they would read as you usually read them.  More so, if you have time, the energy, and luxury to do so, etc. by all means you should try and read them.  Being as you  already are on vacation, this should be easy for you to do!
