I have tons of peacock feathers. We have peacocks. I use the feathers that fall on the ground as book mark. I also used one in my quran. I am told this is haram and because its from an animal i cannot use it and it must be buried. Is this haram?

The use of these feathers is allowed.

Clean it prior to using it if necessary.

Using them as bookmark is permissible.
