Q: Why do guys make such a big deal about sunnah. Hat wearing is a sunnah? really?. It makes me sick when i see people in western culture wearing something that is not really fard. your commentss plze  (text)

A: Are you the sunnah police? Must we ask you which sunnah to follow and which ones to reject? Must we inquire from you, how to apply a sunnah and under what circumstances? You attempt to sound liberal, yet you appear to be the most rigid. Kindly do your homework with the following in mind: Did the Prophet (SAW) wear a hat, under which conditions he wore a hat, what color were his (saw) hats? what did he (saw) wear over the hat? How many different types of hats did he (saw) own and wear? What was the role of the sahabah as it relates to the hat, etc.
