Q: We do import/export. We got a good deal on some fine china made from animal bone. The temperature to which it is raised is a 1000 degrees. We do not know exactly what animal bones are used in the fine china. We are buying most of our products from a muslim country so we think it could be beef related but have no real idea.

• Using such bone originated material as part of the fine china is permissible.
• The change from its original state is so drastic that permissibility for its sale and usage exists, regardless of the type of animal that is used for such purpose.

If a choice exists, using halal animals would be best.
