Q: Imaam can you tell me what is patience/tolerance in islam? thanks

A: When a person is in a position of control, despite them being able to hurt the other person, they are patient and they endure the adverse situation. This is true patience in Islam.

You are not a patient person when you dominate the weak and live to fear those that are above you position. To hurt those that are ‘lower’ than you is cowardly. To those that you can hurt, if you show kindness, you are truly patient.

Such people are greatly rewarded, more so when they use their strengths in the proper manner at all time, ameen.
