the different veils of ‘piety’

Q: Asalamualaikum,
The member (where in todays time khutbahs are given) was once where the prophet peace be upon him, the sahaba ajmaeen, and ulema ul haq used to glorify Allah and bring people closer to the Sunnah and fill their hearts with love for the greatest man to ever touch the surface of the earth Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him). fill the hearts of people with love for akhirat, dislike for dunia, fear of Allah, fear of death etc. unfortunately times have changed and the signs of the hour are present everywhere, today we see ulema who claim to be on the straight path but take to the member to fulfill their desires by sending subliminal messages to audience members, do not fill the hearts with the love of the sunnah, quran, Allah, fear of death but rather use the member only to show their superiority to the ones they feel are beneath them.  would you agree? how to deal with such ulema? would such people be amongst the rightly guided ulema?

If your imaan is going to be adversely affected by such a ‘scholar,’ then merely make dua for him. Likewise, go to a place where your salah and concentration would not be adversely affected. For you to persist in such an environment when other alternatives do exist would mean that you are merely acting ‘righteous’ when in reality you are no different from such a scholar.

Your leaders (and scholars) only represent who you are (derived from hadith). Thus, sometimes we meet a match that we do not like.

Additionally, this ‘attack’ upon you or your ego can be reduced if you attend the only Arabic khutba portion. Generally in the Arabic only portion, seldom would you feel anyone is attacking you. Such is the blessing of the Arabic language.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.

p.s. Your email is from the subtle works of shaytan even though you seemingly write pious. Why do I say as such? You mentioned ‘subliminal messages’ being sent. In Islam, such a claim as presented by you functions as mere gesturing. You ‘seem pious,’ however, shaytan is wanting to hold your hand. Let shaytan away from your fake piety claims and inshallallah you shall rise to be the best.
