Q: Assalamu alikum wa rahmatUllah Imam,
Imam, I hope you can answer my question soon insha’Allah, may Allah ease it for you.
I paid my Zakah last year in 1431, 23rd of Ramadan, out of gold nisab, then I found out that I need to pay Zakah using the silver nisab since it’s lower than gold. This year 1432, 23rd of Ramadan, I based my Zakah on silver, and I was below the nisab of silver. Since I started this year using the amount of silver nisab, am I required to pay the difference of last year’s Zakah? Because I based last year’s Zakah on the gold amount.
p.s. My Zakah due date is adjusted; I picked the date(23rd of Ramadan).
