divorce, in-person or not?!

Q: Peace be to you,
I have a question regarding separation and divorce. I currently have a protection order against my husband, and we can not speak to each other. He cannot talk to me to tell me talaq 3x’s if that is what he wishes to do. Can he send a message through a third party, or does he have to tell me in person this?
Thank you for the sake of Allah(swt)

A: Peace and saluations upon you as well.
In Islam, your husband does not have to tell the Talaqs to you in person.  He can also send the written talaqs via an attorney (or another representative,) if so desired.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
p.s. The above is religious advice. For legal matters such as yours, kindly also consult your attorney so as to not have a conflict between religion and state.
