Q: My name is Stephen (XXXXXXX), I am a Senior at BYU studying Middle East Studies and Arabic.  I am in a class at the moment where we are doing a research project on conversion from one faith to another. I would like to ask you some questions to help our research if you would be willing to help out.

  1. How do you define your religion?
  2. What does it mean to be a practicing adherent in your religion?
  3. In your opinion, what is the future of your religion?
  4. Is Worldwide expansion a central piece to the doctrine?
  5. If so, do you welcome all people from other religions into your own religion?
  6. What is the doctrinal stand point on an adherent converting to another religion? What if that other religion was Christianity, another sect of Islam, or Judaism?
  7. What is your understanding of Christianity and Judaism?
  8. Do you know a members these other faiths?
  9. What is your personal opinion about conversion of a Muslim to another religion?

  1. How do you define your religion? The continuation of Noahdic, Judaic concept of God in final form.
  2. What does it mean to be a practicing adherent in your religion? To keep the commandments is core to being an adherent.
  3. In your opinion, what is the future of your religion? Bright, especially when Jesus Christ comes back and defends it.
  4. Is Worldwide expansion a central piece to the doctrine? No
  5. If so, do you welcome all people from other religions into your own religion? Yes, there is no compulsion in religion.
  6. What is the doctrinal stand point on an adherent converting to another religion? What if that other religion was Christianity, another sect of Islam, or Judaism? It is for the religious/judicial government authorities to decide, not a matter left to any one’s whim.
  7. What is your understanding of Christianity and Judaism? Christianity got Romanized by Emperor Constantine, Judaism missed Jesus the Messiah.
  8. Do you know a members these other faiths? Yes
  9. What is your personal opinion about conversion of a Muslim to another religion? There is no compulsion in religion.

Note to our audience: If any of our (interfaith) members care to answer these questions in our comment box, it would give you practice. Do not do the research for the student. Keep your answers as brief as possible. I would correct anything i deem incorrect. Go for it. They are simple enough for most of you,  i see no harm in making an attempt towards them. These are common questions asked of us. It would help you greatly in ‘Utah.’
