Advice from our pious predecessors: If you want Barakah to enter into your home, then note the affectionate manner in which  Sayyidinah Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) advised Sayyidinah Anas (Radiallahu Anhu) on how to accomplish it: O my beloved son! When you enter your home, greet with Salaam (the proper way would thus be Asalamualikum). This will bring Barakah upon you and upon your family.
