Q:I inherited 25 acres of property. I wanted to give it fesabililla. I called the seniors of my city and asked them I could build a musjid. They objected saying that 5 other musjids are near and that none of them are getting filled to capacity. I do agree with them. But I already made my intention because I have additional land elsewhere and this land I wanted to build a musjid. What do I do? I am very confused. (text)

• Since your intention is merely to build a musjid, sell the land and build a musjid in a more need area.
• Since you want to give this land is ‘fesabillah,’ an alternative for you could be to build an Islamic school for Quran and/or to make people good scholars of deen with the usage of this land.
• Donate the land towards the keeping of widows, elderly or orphans.

Since you have not made an intention or given it as a musjid as of yet, you have the above as well as other options to increase your reward base.
