Q: Assalamualaikum,
My name is Nxxxxxx and I am 2x turning x (age withheld) soon and haven’t been able to find anyone for the purpose of marriage. The past alliances have all rejected me without any valid reasons. I was recently introduced to a brother and we were compatible. Our parents were fully involved from the beginning and both sides were happy to move forward. However, they haven’t given us an answer yet and it has been 2 months or so. I don’t see what could have possibly gone wrong. I hope this isn’t a case of black magic where people stop girls from getting married! I believe in black magic as it is mentioned in the Qur’an and sadly in today’s day and age, people are willing to use this process to harm others but I don’t want to occupy my brain with such negative thoughts. I was a regular at Salah and now I find I get either too lazy, tired or distracted from praying Salah and eventually miss it. I’m also getting thoughts about removing my Hijab since most guys are rejecting me for wearing
one. I
know this is terrible and I’m reading Qur’an everyday and trying to come back to praying Salah.
Please recommend some dua’as I can read in order to get back on track Inshallah and be abe to find a righteous partner.
Jazakallah.

A: walaikumsalam (wish i could write it in Arabic, we over coming a glitch.)
You must be strong. You are being tested like every other person. Your test is finding the right person at the right time. Seldom do we realize, sometimes Allah (SWT) has us wait for the right person, because Allah (SWT) knows that which is best for us.
The ability to read Quran and perform salah when having it rough in life is a sign of firm faith. It is also a slap of the face of shaytan. Additionally, to read Quran and perform salah in distress is a sign of Love from the side of Allah (Swt.) Allah (SWT) allows people to read His Book and perform prayers when He chooses the best for them.
Read lots of istigfaar. Read all your prayers on time and beg Allah (SWT) to only give that which is best for you. Not getting what you ask for would mean: Allah (SWT) has you waiting because the best has not yet come by.
Kindly read this.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
