Q: Assalam Alaikum
Hope this message reaches you with good health and iman inshallah. I was wondering if there are certain duas, that you know of specifically for difficulty of sleeping. Some days, I just cannot go to sleep and probably average 3-4 hours a night. Sometimes this will happen for a whole week consistently which I cannot have happen as I am in school studying for 10+ hours everyday. And on the days that I do get some sleep its not restful sleep at all. If I don’t get good sleep I get a migraine. This has been happening for a couple of years now. I tried prescription medications which I stopped because I didn’t like the side effects, I recite Quran before I go to sleep, I have switched rooms/beds, tried herbal remedies, I don’t have caffeine and have very healthy meals and highly control my portion sizes, I exercise, etc with no avail and its really making life difficult. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

- May Allah reward you for sending your query to us. We do not have a magic solution. Our solutions are linked to Quran and hadith. Our methods and solutions are time consuming. We realize that for problems to come into effect, as humans we do certain ills or place ourselves in situations that attain a given outcome. (Based on Quranic ayah)
- You are reading and seemingly doing the correct things. This shows faith strength on your side.
- Read the manzil. After reading it, blow in the water with conviction that Allah is the one that Cures. Drink this water. Do this every day. Do not throw the little water at the end. Keep refilling this bottle. keep reading the manzil without failure minimum of once per day. Better yet, each fajr and Magrib.
- Pray your prayers on time. Evil continues to attack and control people when they sin. Refrain from all types of sin — big and small. Just and hot and cold has an affect, so does sin. Associate less with people of the opposite gender. The evil eye etc. would gradually remove its affect upon you.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.
