Q. My period ended on September 13th. On September 17th, I started a second period. Now I am told that I cannot perform salaah, touch the Qur’an, etc.

A. You have stated that your menses ended on the 13th. The least amount of days pertaining to purity is 15 days. Thus, shari’ah has termed the blood you had seen as istihaza and not haiz (your period.) In the case of istihaza , merely make fresh wudhu prior to each salaah and perform the given salaah. Likewise, you may also recite Qur’an upon removing the impurity from your clothing or physical body.
