Q: Salam alikum.
Is it required to perform ghusul after quitting masturbating? And is it required to perform salat tawba?… Would like to know what’s recommended towards that.

• If one has done such an action then it sure does require a fard bath.
• If one is in a pure state and made a firm intention to never do such an action (or any other repulsive act), then such an intention making process alone does not require a bath.
• One is not required to perform ‘salat tawba.’ Performing any nafl salah or doing any good deed as an atonement for any wrong would always be rewarding and functions as a measure of sinceretiy that would assist in keeping a person away from haram.
