Q: Esselamu Alejkum!!! My question is: Why is Qibla like this? Please see the picture.For me it doesn’t make scence.Why we don’t turn our faces straight to  Mekkah?Thats south-east.Please answer ASAP.Me and my family are confused now.Thank You,Esselamu Alejkum!!!!

Your opinion is no different from my personal opinion. However, consensuses of the majority of scholars (i am sure in excess of 97%) in the USA have called by way of action for us to do it the manner in which we are currently doing it, and thus we should not make an issue of it unless we have the academic skills to present the argument to do otherwise.

Likewise if you can prove to the various musjid committees that facing the Ka’ba directly would be the better thing to do, then more strength to you.
Although i would not say that our current method is incorrect, the ‘straight’ method would be more better.

My advice would be as follows if you are uncomfortable with  the current standard:
In the musjid you attend follow the method that has been relatively newly adopted.
In your home you are more than welcome to follow it as mentioned by you.
