why? why? why?

Aslamalkium.

I was asked a question by a Non-beliver that I did not know the answer to. So if you can clearfy this in deatil it would be great.

“Why was Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) the last and final messager?”

“Why was Adam (as)the first messager?”

“Why arent there anymore prophets?”

Ayat-al-Kursi and the devil — eventually it all does add up

Question/clarification:

Asalaamualaykum,

Alright, so I read [the following Hadith translated in English]. The end really shocked me because I don’t think I know what it means and I’m hoping you can explain it. I’m confused because I’m not sure why Shatyan would tell the guard to read “Ayat-al-Kursi” every night to prevent Shaytan from getting to people at night and such. That part doesn’t make sense to me.

WalaykumAsalaam

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu ‘anhu):

Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) deputed me to keep Sadaqat(al-Fitr) of Ramadan. A comer came and started taking handfuls of the foodstuff (of the Sadaqa) (stealthily). I took hold of him and said, “By Allah, I will take you to Allah’s Apostle.” He said, “I am needy and have many dependents, and I am in great need.” I released him, and in the morning Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked me, “What did your prisoner do yesterday?” I said, “O Allah’s Apostle! The person complained of being needy and of having many dependents, so, I pitied him and let him go.” Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “Indeed, he told you a lie and he will be coming again.” I believed that he would show up again as Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu’Alaihi Wa Sallam) had told me that he would return. So, I waited for him watchfully. When he (showed up and) started stealing handfuls of foodstuff, I caught hold of him again and said, “I will definitely take you to Allah’s Apostle. He said, “Leave me, for I am very needy and have many dependents. I promise I will not come back again.” I pitied him and let him go. Continue Reading →

Only Question 4 and 6 are partially relevant

Question:

Salaamu Alaaykum

1)Imam what’s up with the marriage pressure?
2)Why are all sheikhs and almost everyones favorite topic is marriage?
3)yeah yeah I know its marriage is virtuous and part of the prophets (saw) sunnah, but dude can we chill with that subject.
4)In order to get married and start a new family don’t we need an education and financial stabliity first?
5)seems like everyone just wants to get on the marriage bandwagon. Wallahi all my friends either married with kids, married, engaged, or looking.
6) My question is am I crazy for not being on this wagon and wanting an education first before I pursue anything serious?

Feng Shui

Q:
Salamalikum wa ramatullahi wa barakatoh,

Thank you so much for all the previous e-mail!Barakalaufi!

Actually, i have an important question to ask you.

Nowadays, a lot of people  and in particular the Muslims, are interested about the relaxation, Feng shui (Art which give you the ability to centralize and  Harmonize the energies of a place, a house or a human body / The Shakras), numerology, Hypnosis, astrology, etc…
Indeed, all what is related to occult and esoteric science.
They use this type of art in order to get to know more about themselves and about their personality as they say.
Even so, they don’t use it to  predict about the future (They know its strictly forbidden in Islam) as they say,but just as a way to know more about yourself and to open your mind.

Here is my question:

_Is it written in the Qur’an or some of the hadith of the Prophet Mohamed(saw) that you can use this type of arts to discover more about yourself, about your personality or to cure yourself from psychological or physical diseases without using it for ”clairvoyance” or ” for predicting the future”?

Thanks in advance!!!
You will help me a lot i’m sure thanks to the mercy of Allah! INSHALLAH!

Jazakallahu kayran! Continue Reading →

marry who i tell you, or else

Q:

Salamu Alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakhtu Imam,

Inshallah you’re well. So remember the question I sent to you in regards to my friend who’s Brother tells her she can not marry any one outside their family tribe.
Well he recently made her put her hand in the qu’ran and swear by Allah that she would not marry someone outside her tribe.
Does that oath go through?
Is that valid of him to do?
jazakallahu khair

A:

?????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????

We do not know the justification of your brother to make you take such an oath. Should he base his decision on racism, prejudiced attitude, or other sharia based violations, then understand the following: You touched the Quran. This is no small matter. The Quran is not a joke book. You cannot take an oath upon it in vain or in a situation that does not endanger your life. You do understand this fact, thus your concern has caused you to inquire regarding the status of your given otah. It also seems that you are inclined to this person whom you took an oath not to marry or else taking the oath would not have been a concern to you.

You and members of your family need a good Islamic social worker or group of elders that have each of your interest in mind to help resolve your matter.

We also recommend that until the matter is not resolved; minimize your contact with this male. It is not fair to him that you string him along with your unresolved personal family matters. This lowers your self-worth and value and basic human dignity. As humans we got to achieve so much more better for ourselves.

Your answer to taking an oath, etc remains in the following link(s)

Best wishers in making decisions that make you and those around you proud of you, Ameen.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.

May you also be in the best of health. Kindly refrain from sending us third party queries. We would assume that the matter pertains to you, so as to avoid the debate of he said, she said, i did not mean it as such, but as such instead!.
