Q: Salaam Imam,
I have a very important question about muslims suffering across the world. In countries like palestine they are being oppressed and slaughtered, in afghanistan they are being massacred, in iraq and now yemen their is a huge war which was not caused by muslims and nonbelievers are making muslims fight and making our lives very diffuclt. Also, in somalia somalians are killing each other. As a muslim i feel like my brothers and sisters, arabs, afghanis, iranians, africans, asians, and all are being oppressed and are going through tremendous trials while no muslim or muslim countries are doing any thing about it. We muslims are so scared of non believers that we dont even want to think of what is happening to us or even speak about it. For example i was in class and the students were saying muslims were very violent and only want to kill “infedels” but i told them that that was not true at all and we are very peaceful people, we do not harm or kill any one unless they are oppressing or killing us. I feel like we muslims need to set aside our differences and unite, like prophet muhammed (pbuh) said we muslims are like one body if one part of the body hurts all of the body hurts.
Thanks and peace to you imam. (Globalized muslim suffering)

Asalamalikum wa ramatullahi wa barakatoh,
I have several questions to ask you inshallah;
Q1) is it true that if the Muslim doesn’t talk to his parents because they are non-believers and they refuse to see him because they don’t accept his conversion to Islam, Allah will not grant him the Paradise because he was not in touch with them? Continue Reading →

Q: I converted several months ago. I read books on Islam and all I needed to know about islam from online. And then later I had realized that Islam was for me so then later went back online and found the transliteration of the shahadah with English said it by myself at home with Allah and the two recording angels as witnesses. I also said it with the Imaam on TV as the people were converting that same night.
Now Br Imaam I come to the musjid where i live and the sisters were having their halaqah and they tell me I did it all wrong. So now you tell me, am I a nonMuslim? Or Muslim? So all I prayers was wasted? Fast wasted? You tell me what i do? Continue Reading →

Q: In Islam are bad thoughts a sin? (query)
A: No.
If one persists upon evil thoughts, then this could lead to sins.
Our time should be spent positively, not with matters and thoughts that do not concern us (Derived from hadith).
Think positive, be positive. Shaytan prefers the opposite.
Allah Certainly Knows Best.

I being the eldest had a meeting with our family and feel that to be fair we must all give our father and mother 300 dollars a month. My one sister said she would be give what she prefers to give on her own since sharia does not make it necessary for her to give. I later found out that she would give my mom 500 a month. So she is giving. But is she correct. Continue Reading →

SA Imam Muhammed,
InshaAllah everything is going well with you. I have some questions from an inmate, here is the section from his mail:
‘My health is not the greatest and I have been asked by the Univ. of Utah that in case I happen to die on the operating table for any reason; would I want them to intervene and have them perform all the necessary procedures to bring me back to life, and once I am back would I want to be put on life support if things did not go as planned by their surgeons.
Question: A- What do I do? I have told them the last time that I was there to let me die and that I did not want them to intervene but I was not sure as what I was supposed to tell them according to Sharia Continue Reading →
