dua at the look of Ka’ba, kiss stone, do i should my needs

Q: Bismillah
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah Shaykh,

I have been receiving e-mails (via a group which I didn’t subscribe to) from a wahabi (who seems to really want to help educate muslims). Although she mentions a few good points, I get very distressed reading how she says several incorrect  things about islam. I am pasting two of her most recent e-mails below. How does one respond to this person? I’ve tried a couple times before & she started criticizing non-wahabi Shuyukh (i.e., certain Hanafi ulama). Is it obligatory/ recommended for me to correct her incorrect beliefs?
JazakAllah khair.

Why we read what we read after the salah on these days

Q: asalama alykim Imaam, I am sorry. 1) You mentioned about Ibraheim (AS) reciting Allahu Akar when his son was being scarified. There was noise and I really did not get what you said. Can you please help clarify what was read and ow it was read. I recall my teacher saying something similar to us in Somalia when I was young and just need a refresher? Or you can place the recording so we can hear that portion for us. 2) Also how do we read it and when do we read it. Thanks. Shukran. (email) Continue Reading →

i really do not think that a ‘true’ scholar said the following. i think it is a set up!

Q: If a scholar said that I live in Miami but started my islamic month with Makkah and cannot change now and must follow Makkah for my eid. And is forcing our whole family to do with Makkah because he is head of household with greatest knowledge. Is this reasonable? What should the adult children do. (email) Continue Reading →
